Happenings at Grand Villa of Largo

Grand Villa of Largo residents lead a vibrant and engaged lifestyle with a wide array of social and recreational opportunities to choose from. Our full-time Activities Coordinator makes sure our calendar is always full of activities to keep our residents physically, mentally, and socially engaged.

Some of our most well-attended activities include exercise classes, Wii bowling, hobby groups, and Bingo. Arts and crafts are especially popular around the holidays, and there’s always a crowd when our therapy pets come to visit.

Our residents love our family-style Dining Program, which turns daily meals into social events through our Passport Dining Experience and Tasty Traditions.

Please call to learn more about the lifestyle we offer. Our friendly staff would be happy to arrange a personal tour.

Some Tips for Vitamin Users

Most of us have taken vitamins since we were children. While we may not be taking Flintstone’s supplements that are shaped like fun cartoon characters any more, we all still try to take our daily dose of goodness to keep healthy. We can even take them in gummy chew form now! However, did you know that vitamins can be harmful if not taken correctly? Here are some tips from Senior Care Corner to make sure you’re on the right track:

  • Be sure to read the fine print on labels. Even though these are over the counter medications, take dosages seriously. You can overdose from vitamins and some have serious effects.
  • Be sure the brand is well known and trusted. As Senior Care Corner states, vitamins aren’t regulated very strictly and as such, an off brand can lie about what those capsules are.
  • Most importantly, speak with a medical professional about every supplement you take.

Whether it’s A, B, C, or D, vitamins are meant to help you, if taken correctly. However, it is important to pay attention to everything you put in your body, even these supplements.
