Grand Villa of Largo residents lead a vibrant and engaged lifestyle with a wide array of social and recreational opportunities to choose from. Our full-time Activities Coordinator makes sure our calendar is always full of activities to keep our residents physically, mentally, and socially engaged.

Some of our most well-attended activities include exercise classes, Wii bowling, hobby groups, and Bingo. Arts and crafts are especially popular around the holidays, and there’s always a crowd when our therapy pets come to visit.

Our residents love our family-style Dining Program, which turns daily meals into social events through our Passport Dining Experience and Tasty Traditions.

Memory Care Happenings

Our Memory Care residents also enjoy an active lifestyle, with upgrades and special features to meet their unique needs. The Memory Care Neighborhood features an exit-controlled outdoor area so residents can stroll in the fresh air, and our Life Skill Stations spark interest and interaction by re-creating familiar situations that facilitate cognitive exercise and physical movement.

Creativity Helps the Elderly

We’re all artists in our own right and that shouldn’t change when we get older. Creativity sets the mind ablaze and as a result, our brains get positive activity. Overall, brains are benefited with mental exercise and some of the best of these activities are the arts.

Creative writing, painting, pottery, and music are all great ways to keep a mind sharp, and your aging loved ones will have the opportunity to express themselves. It’s never too late to learn a new craft either. We’ve seen seniors pick up an instrument or poetry later in life and fall in love with their newfound passion. On top of the health benefits, being involved in the arts can be therapeutic and a form of relaxation. Keeping active both physically and mentally through the arts has also been proven to deter Alzheimer’s disease and dementia progression.
